Alève Mine
has an identifiable voice that grabs your attention.
Her music is strong even when slow. The songs are always a result of
the lyrics and by avoiding the cliché use of instruments, the quality
of her voice and the freshness of the music stay in the foreground.
The co-founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun expressed that he
liked Alève’s music and told her she should avoid wasting time with
small concerts and should meet him with a manager at her side.
As real as it gets, Alève Mine is culturally as well as geographically
a citizen of the world and at home in many styles ranging from pop to
jazz. She has performed at Midem'05 in Cannes, France and was selected
as a finalist in the Switzerland-wide Demotape Clinic competition. These
events marked only the start of a solo career and after vast experience
with various bands and ensembles she has forged her own style, gaining i
n reputation and popularity.
With a dance style that has a slight
oriental touch and based on years of ballet of martial arts experience,
it is clear that on stage Alève takes full advantage of her talents
aesthetically.
